EQUIPMENT AND RESOURCES:

· Leica TCRP 1203 Robotic Total Station

· Leica SmartStation RTKGPS utilizing real time

kinematic (RTK) network adjusted solutions from the

Oregon Department of Transportation’s GPS network

(ORGN). This results in extremely accurate positions

in a very short amount of time.

· Trimble 4000 SSE duel frequency GPS receiver.

· Carlson Civil Suite 2009 - Surveying, engineering,

hydrology, GIS, and mapping software that runs inside

of Autocad 2008

· Blue Marble Desktop -geographic calculator and

transformer

· HP wide format printers and plotters

· Maptech - (My Topo) mapping software with aerial photo

support

· Lizardtech Geo Express View for aerial photo .sid and

geotif formats

· Jeff Barott- OSU graduate, survey crew member

· Sub-contract with other survey firms for additional assistance

if needed, but most projects can be accomplished with

1-2 people using high-tech equipment.

EXPERIENCE:

U.S. Forest Service:

Over 30 years experience as a Federal Surveyor with the U.S. Forest Service. Retired from Federal service in 2007. Experience in boundary surveys, road rights-of-way, special uses, site surveys and topographic surveys, geodetic control surveys (GPS), watershed restoration projects, stream bank stabilization survey and mapping, Rosgen stream classifications and stream surveys, foundation layout and facility location surveys, and boundary and title projects as Lands Program Manager.

Oregon Army National Guard:

Twenty-six years experience as an Infantry and Field Artillery Officer. Experience in Field Artillery surveys, logistics, and leadership. Infantry Company Commander, Battalion Staff Officer, State Logistics Officer. Retired as a Major in 2001.

Private Sector:

Stephan Barott Land Surveying began in 1994 as a very small part time business. Work has dramatically increased since 2007. Projects include all aspects of surveying and mapping. Main emphasis is on topographic surveys and mapping, site planning, geodetic surveys using state of the art survey grade GPS equipment and robotic total stations, FEMA flood plain surveys, elevation certificates, and e-LOMA’s, land partitions, subdivisions, property line adjustments, boundary surveys, new construction foundation layouts, and cell tower communication site surveys.
